| Construction of the first refrigerant to coolant heat exchanger |
| Page 1: Introduction |

In a phase-change system you need an evaporator where the refrigerant boils and
extracts heat from the evaporator environment (if this is Chinese to you, please visit
the Phase-Change basics article first). For my cooling
system I needed a way to transfer the cold to a liquid coolant which is then pumped
around the system. This makes it easier to cool all required parts since it is easier
to feed cold liquid through a standard waterjacket than to build multiple evaporators.
The following pages describe the construction of the heat exchanger used to transfer
the cold generated by the boiling refrigerant to the coolant.
